on a personal note
instead of letting us borrow a tent for a week, sabina forced us to buy it at a rather large cost to our group, meaing we had less money during our final day. Well, i think thats just charming.
join us on a tale of adventure, excitment and cheap beer as we follow 6 young people travelling around Europe in the summer of 2005. May also contain random stuff, but don't hold your breath.

what is this 'sabina' forced us ...... er it was completly a group decision. that tent was communal and we were going to sell it on ebay after we'd used it. we were under the impression you were going to use it for the next two weeks, inevitably damaging it so we wouldnt get as much for it. if u only used it once (dont know why you didnt get more use out of it) you try selling it on ebay. u can prob get £35-40 for it. its a great tent.

Well apologies for the direct accusation. I guess you couldn't have just let us borrow it, i mean, we /are/ a bunch of scallywags at best and you just can't trust people. I mean we might have devalued it in some way and everyone knows how strict Sotheby's is these days.
{/sarcasm}
In the end I kinda see your point re: over-usage and re-selling but still its simply not the gentlemanly (or gentlewomanly?) thing to have done.
Other than that, ita great to be back!
etcetera

well... what can i say? i recieve a text message from the trip when i haven't heard from them in weeks (no replies to my emails) saying "hi!!!!hows all of you??hope your having a great time, we're in the south of france and its just amazing in lilys house!results in two days... ahh!btw can we nick your tent for two weeks?thanks"
so u are holiday-ing in the south of france in a summer house while we are lying on the bumpy ground under the trees eating tomatoes in our campsite and we recieve that text message which i'm not going to lie slightly irritated us. but to be honest what irritates us (well me because 'us' haven't read this) more is your bitchy sarcasm about the whole situation! its not like u cant afford £6.50 each (and if u sell it on ebay you'll prob get about £40 + on it anyway so you'll make it all back!)- which is less than what you would have spent on a youth hostel if you'd stayed in one the one night you used the tent.
jesus....
